Description: This former country club has reverted after 10 years to a 151 acre natural reserve, and is now home to an impressive and growing list of native birds, animals, and wildflowers. With luck, we will see a good variety of migratory songbirds as they make their way south, and historically goldenrod meadows such as this tend to be productive during this window. We will travel around the venue on some of the approximately 5 miles of former cart paths and community-forged trails, exploring beautiful open fields, a stream-side trail, and woodland paths. Attendees should feel comfortable walking as little or as much as they choose. Leashed pets are welcome. The site currently has porta-potties in the lot.
