Member’s Night - Donohoe Barn

Date & Time: Tuesday, November 10, 6:30pm. Doors open 6:00pm

Guest Presenter: “Eat Your Weeds” by Barbara McMillan 

Directions:  -- 214 Donohoe Rd. Greensburg, PA -- Turn north onto Donohoe Road at the Route 30 traffic light near the overpass to the Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg. Drive north on Donohoe 1.7 miles until you see the sign on the right for the Donohoe Center. “The Barn” is in the back.

Description: After a short administrative meeting, we will hear an engaging presentation by member Barbara McMillan about native plants and the many uses they have, including edible plants you likely have in your own backyards! 

Following this, we will open the floor to members to share your bird and nature experiences from the past year! Email Alex Busato (email above) or Tom Moser (mosertd@gmail.com, (412-478-5513)) prior to the meeting if you would like to present. Bring any presentations and/or photos on a flash/USB drive or send via Google Drive link. These “show and tell” pictures can be from actual outings, trips, vacations, other adventures or just shots from around your backyard or neighborhood. Please try to limit your presentation to around 10 minutes in order to accommodate everyone. 

To wrap up the night, we will also pull tickets for our annual basket raffle. Bring your old bird and nature knick-knacks, books, feeders, or whatever you’d like to rehome to enter as auction items for the drawing. Likewise, make sure to bring some cash for tickets. Baked goods and hors d'oeuvres are also encouraged!
